Kwara State Approves Cash Back for TESCOM Promotions

The Kwara State government has approved cash backing for promotions within the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) for eligible teaching and non-teaching staff, covering the period from 2015 to 2025. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq disclosed this information in a statement issued by Bola Onil, the press secretary of the Teaching Service Commission, on Tuesday.

This initiative aims to ensure the implementation of promotion benefits that will positively affect the workers. Bello Abubakar, the executive chairman of TESCOM, expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrazaq, highlighting the administration's commitment to improving the welfare of teachers and staff.

He noted that the current administration inherited outstanding promotion arrears from 2015 to 2020 and that the approved cash backing for promotions will address these issues. Abubakar assured that the commission would begin the necessary administrative processes to implement the approved cash backing promptly, encouraging staff to remain dedicated and disciplined in their duties.
