Kwara Fire Service and IPMAN Enhance Petroleum Safety

The Kwara State Fire Service and the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) have announced a renewed commitment to bolster safety measures within the petroleum sector. This collaboration was highlighted during a courtesy visit by IPMAN's leadership, including Chairman Alhaji Kabiru Zubair, to the Fire Service, where they were received by Director Hassan Adekunle.

The partnership aims to promote compliance with fire safety regulations and enhance emergency preparedness across petroleum facilities in the state. Adekunle emphasized the importance of regular training for staff in fire prevention and emergency response, urging the new IPMAN leadership to intensify awareness efforts among members, particularly in safe fuel handling.

Zubair expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged IPMAN's continued adherence to safety regulations, ensuring that staff are adequately trained. Both organizations reiterated their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration and sustaining public awareness campaigns to prevent fire incidents in the sector.
