Kwara Massacre Survivor Desperate for Family's Fate as Death Toll Hits 150

The Kwara massacre survivor, Joshua Dame, recounted the harrowing attack where armed gunmen on motorcycles invaded the community, resulting in a death toll of 150. The incident left him unsure about the safety of his family.

The attack, which occurred last Tuesday, involved over 200 heavily armed assailants who shot sporadically, causing chaos and destruction. The survivor narrowly escaped the attack on his farm in Plateau State, seeking refuge in Kwara State.

The Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has approved the formation of a committee to provide humanitarian support and aid in rebuilding efforts for the affected community. Vice President Kashim Shettima visited the state to address the situation and deploy Nigerian Army troops to restore peace and security in the area.
