Kwara Monarch Urges Governor to Prioritize Rural Development

During a ceremony celebrating his 35th year on the throne, Alhaji Aliyu Baba Oladarid, the monarch of Agbeyangi in Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State, appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to focus on rural development. He highlighted the importance of balancing urban renewal initiatives with investments in rural communities, which he believes are essential for achieving overall development.

Oladarid commended the governor's administration for its infrastructural transformations but stressed that rural areas continue to face significant challenges. He specifically requested the reconstruction of the Panada Agbeyangi-Yarun road to accelerate socio-economic development.

The monarch noted that while there has been progress, infrastructural deficits remain obstacles to community growth. He called for a revival of community cooperation and self-help initiatives among the indigenes to further enhance development.

The event also included the unveiling of his autobiography titled "Faith, Leadership, Legacy: Journey of Agbeyangi History.".
