Kwara PDP Leader Advocates Job Creation for Youth

On Thursday, Olusola Mose, a chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, urged the government to prioritize job creation and youth empowerment strategies to combat crime and reduce unemployment in the country. This advice was given during an empowerment program that benefited 500 youths and women who are small-scale business owners in the Ok Ero Local Government Area.

Mose, popularly known as "Success," distributed cash grants ranging from N50,000 to N100,000 to the beneficiaries during the Ok Ero Youth Summit held at the Ilorin headquarters of the local government area. The recipients included artisans, traders, and commercial motorcyclists from various communities.

Mose highlighted that empowering young people financially would provide economic opportunities and help deter them from engaging in criminal activities. He also noted that promoting economic opportunities for youth is essential for social stability and community development.

Other PDP leaders, including state youth leader Adio Fridai Odunjo and women leader Margaret Abegund, attended the event and encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the financial assistance judiciously.
