PDP Suspends Guber Aspirant Alhaji Ladi Hassan in Kwara

Alhaji Ladi Hassan, a gubernatorial aspirant for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, was suspended due to alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct. The suspension was communicated through a letter issued by the Magaji Ngeri Ward Executive Committee of Ilorin West Local Government Area on June 2, 2026.

The letter indicated that Hassan had been notified of the allegations on May 30, 2026, and was directed to appear before a seven-member committee within 48 hours. Hassan's failure to comply with this directive led to the suspension, which is in accordance with sections 57 and 59(1) of the PDP constitution that provide for disciplinary measures against members found guilty of offenses.

The suspension prohibits Hassan from participating in any party activities at the ward, local government, or national levels for a period of one month, effective from the date of the letter.
