Super Falcons Announce Squad for Comoros Clash in Olympics Qualifiers

The Super Falcons have announced a 28-player squad for their qualifying second-round tie against Comoros for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. Interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen has called up a mix of European-based stars and home-based talent.

The squad is captained by Rasheedat Ajibade of Paris Saint-Germain and includes notable players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie from Brighton & Hove Albion and defender Michelle Alozie from Chicago Stars. Ashleigh Plumptre, who plays for Al-Ittihad Ladies in Saudi Arabia, is making her first selection for the Super Falcons after missing the Women's Cup of Nations due to injury.

The Super Falcons enter this qualifying campaign at the second round after receiving a bye as one of Africa's three highest-ranked nations. Comoros, despite being considered underdogs, had a dominant first-round campaign, defeating Sudan 30-0 on aggregate.

Players are expected to report to the AM2PM Hotel in Ijebu-Ode on October 3.
