Labour Party Lawmaker Praises Nigeria's Anti-Terror Success

Philip Agbes, a Labour Party chieftain and Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, commended the successful rescue of abducted pupils and a teacher in the Oriir local government area of Oyo State. Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Agbes stated that Nigeria is gaining an upper hand against terrorist groups.

He praised President Bola Tinubu and the military for their intelligence-led operations, which he described as a significant success. Agbes congratulated the Nigerian security agencies, including the police and the Department of State Services (DSS), for their professionalism and inter-agency coordination.

He emphasized the importance of ongoing military operations to eliminate criminal elements and restore peace in the country. Agbes urged Nigerians to continue supporting the military and security agencies, providing credible intelligence to prevent attacks.

He expressed confidence that sustained political support for the armed forces would lead to greater success in combating terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping across Nigeria.
