Labour Party Backs Okereke and Konto for 2027 Elections

The Labour Party has reaffirmed its confidence in the presidential ticket of Dr. Chibuzo Sunday Okereke and Hajja Bintu Konto.

During an interactive session in Abuja, National Chairman Senator Nenadi Usman expressed satisfaction with Hajja Konto's nomination as the Party’s Vice Presidential Candidate. Usman described the nomination as a reflection of the Labour Party’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice.

She emphasized that the choice of a woman for the Vice Presidential position aligns with the Party's philosophy of “Mama, Papa, Pikin,” showcasing its dedication to equal opportunity. Usman noted that Hajja Konto's impressive credentials and humanitarian experience would enhance governance when they assume office in 2027.

Additionally, Usman commended the leadership of Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti, highlighting his recent social welfare legislation aimed at supporting senior citizens as an example of effective governance.

She urged Nigerians to support the Labour Party in future elections, citing the positive changes in Abia State as evidence of what Labour Party governments can achieve.
