Lagos Sets 2027 Hajj Fare at N7,882,822 for Pilgrims

The Lagos State Government, through the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, announced that the final fare for intending pilgrims from Lagos to perform the 2027 Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is N7,882,822. This announcement was made by the Board Secretary, Mr AbdulHakeem Ajomagberin, during an interactive session with journalists in Lagos.

Ajomagberin credited the reduction in fare to the leadership of Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), who has focused on ensuring a seamless Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims. He urged intending pilgrims to pay the fare by September 26, 2026, the deadline set by NAHCON, to facilitate the timely acquisition of necessary travel documents.

Ajomagberin reaffirmed the Lagos State Government's commitment to the welfare of pilgrims, promising standard accommodation, daily meals featuring local delicacies, comfortable transportation, organized visits to historical sites, adequate medical care, Basic Travel Allowance (BTA), and support for the slaughtering of Hadayah rams.
