Sanwo-Olu Calls Lagos APC Primary Peaceful and Inclusive

On Thursday, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, characterized the APC governorship primary election as peaceful, transparent, and inclusive, reflecting the party's commitment to internal democracy. Sanwo-Olu participated in the primary election at Ward E3 in Lagos Island alongside his wife, Dr.

Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu. He noted that the direct primary system allowed party members to freely choose their preferred candidates, demonstrating the party's belief in democratic inclusivity.

Sanwo-Olu declared his support for Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, as the sole aspirant for the primary election. He expressed confidence in Hamzat's leadership abilities and experience, asserting that he understands the governance needs of Lagos State.

Alad Folawiyo, the chairman of the Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area, remarked on the impressive turnout during the exercise, emphasizing Hamzat's experience and understanding of the need to sustain governance and infrastructure development in Lagos State.
