Lagos RRS Arrests Hoodlums Harassing Motorists in Lekki

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad conducted a midnight enforcement operation along the Lekki–Ajah Expressway, resulting in the arrest of suspected miscreants and hoodlums accused of terrorizing motorists. This operation specifically targeted individuals involved in extorting, harassing, and intimidating drivers, as well as vandalizing vehicles when demands were not met.

The operation was announced by Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, who shared a video of the suspects on his X handle. He did not disclose the exact number of arrests made.

This latest action follows a similar operation in March, where approximately 25 individuals were arrested for similar offenses. Wahab emphasized the commitment of the Rapid Response Squad to continue intelligence-led operations against criminal activities that threaten public safety and disrupt the movement of people and vehicles in Lagos State.
