RRS Arrests Miscreants Harassing Motorists in Lagos

The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) conducted a midnight enforcement operation that resulted in the arrest of suspected miscreants and hoodlums terrorizing motorists along the Lekki–Ajah Expressway. This operation was disclosed by Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, via his X handle on Sunday.

Wahab stated that the operation targeted individuals who allegedly harass and intimidate motorists, extort money from them, and vandalize vehicles when drivers refuse to comply with their demands. He assured that the RRS would continue to carry out intelligence-led operations against criminal elements whose activities threaten public safety and disrupt the free movement of people and vehicles across Lagos State.

The Lekki-Ajah corridor has been a hotspot for reports of harassment by suspected touts, prompting repeated enforcement actions by security agencies in the area.
