Lagos State Implements Traffic Diversion for Road Works

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan following the commencement of reconstruction works at Anthony Village Bus Stop. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation, shared this information in a statement on his X handle on Tuesday.

Excavation works have begun at the bus stop to provide a lasting solution to the road section that has suffered repeated damage due to heavy rainfall. The reconstruction will utilize interlocking stones to enhance durability.

The state government has implemented a temporary traffic management plan, advising motorists traveling from Fadeyi to avoid the route to the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway through Anthony Village. Additionally, motorists intending to access Anthony–Ikorodu Road from Oshodi should note that there is currently no through road at the project site.

The ministry encourages road users to plan their journeys in advance, avoid the affected areas, and utilize alternative routes to minimize delays. The Lagos State Government appreciates the cooperation of all road users during this reconstruction period.
