Oreoluwa Afolayan Named Director General of Lagos Forward Network

The Lagos Forward Network has appointed Oreoluwa Afolayan as its new Director General, a move aimed at strengthening the organization's influence and expanding its strategic engagement across Lagos. This announcement was made during a press briefing in Lagos, indicating a new phase in the organization's structural growth and broader statewide coordination. Afolayan brings a diverse background in policy, executive leadership, and entrepreneurial expertise. He holds an Executive MBA and has completed leadership programs at the African Leadership Institute and the West Africa Young African Leaders Initiative. Previously, he served as a special assistant to the Governor of Lagos State, gaining valuable experience in governance and public sector leadership. Toluwa Olaniyan, co-convenor of the network, described Afolayan's appointment as timely, emphasizing his representation of a new generation of leadership. As Director General, Afolayan will oversee the coordination and expansion of the network's strategic initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and thought leadership platforms across local government areas.
