Sanwo-Olu Urges Youths to Foster Good Character

On August 30, 2026, Lagos State Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu addressed Nigerian youths at the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement 2026 International Youth Conference held at the church’s International headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos State. Represented by Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu encouraged young people to embody good character and engage in the nation’s development.

He emphasized the importance of creativity, talent, and ingenuity in positively impacting society. The conference, which began on August 28, was themed “Youth That Knows the Lord.” Sanwo-Olu expressed his delight in participating and commended the church's leadership for organizing the event focused on unity of faith and purpose.

He urged youths to allow God's influence to shape their character, asserting that good character is the most significant asset a young person can possess. He also highlighted Lagos as a land of opportunities, encouraging youths to leverage state-supported empowerment schemes to turn their ideas into businesses.
