Ajose Confirms Lagos Governorship Bid Amid Support Rally

Dr. Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, a governorship aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that he will contest in the Lagos State governorship race unless he is ordered by President Bola Tinubu to step down.

During a support meeting held in Ikeja, Ajose assured attendees that he would continue to mobilize support across the state, aiming for a landslide victory in the 2027 elections. He emphasized the importance of grassroots messaging to prevent a repeat of the 2023 presidential election results in Lagos.

Ajose noted that he has consulted widely within the party and is prepared for the primaries, asserting that the strongest candidate should receive the party's support. The SMA Movement, which he leads, aims to unify party members and strengthen the party's presence in Lagos.

The meeting included various stakeholders, with significant attendance from local government areas and councils, reinforcing Ajose's commitment to the party and the upcoming elections.
