Lagos Launches Nigeria's First Integrated Energy Hub

On the weekend of the inauguration, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially opened Nigeria's first integrated energy hub located in Oshodi. This facility, developed by the Ibile Oil and Gas Corporation (IOGC), a Lagos state government-owned entity, integrates multiple energy solutions including Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and a CNG vehicle conversion centre.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that this project signifies more than just a conventional filling station; it represents a significant step in Nigeria's energy transition agenda. He acknowledged the alignment of the facility with the Federal Government’s Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (Pi-CNG) initiative and praised President Bola Tinubu for fostering an environment conducive to investments in alternative energy infrastructure.

Sanwo-Olu stated that it is now the duty of government agencies and stakeholders to actualize this vision for cleaner and more affordable transportation solutions.
