Lakurawa Terrorists Kill Four Soldiers in Sokoto Attack

On Friday, suspected Lakurawa terrorists attacked Kebbe town in Kebbe Local Government Area, Sokoto State, resulting in the feared deaths of four soldiers. The militants, numbering over 300 and armed with motorcycles, initiated a gun battle with security forces around 10 am.

A security expert, Bashar Altine, confirmed the casualties, although the exact figures remained unverified. The Sokoto State Police Command spokesman, Ahmed Rufai, acknowledged the incident but could not confirm any casualties.

The attackers looted shops, including mobile phones and bread, and vandalized a military vehicle. They also targeted the General Hospital in Kebbe, damaging vehicles and stealing mobile phones from patients.

Reports indicated that the militants withdrew towards Ungushi town after the attack, with no confirmation of any militants being killed during the exchange of fire.
