Lalong to Attend NGF Golf Summit in Abuja, August 2026

Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly and former Governor of Plateau State, has confirmed his attendance at the second edition of the Nigeria Golf Federation (NGF) Golf Summit, scheduled for August 26 and 27, 2026, in Abuja.

Lalong is known for his dedication to developing golf at the grassroots level, particularly among youth. His participation is anticipated to enhance discussions on the growth and promotion of golf in Nigeria.

Lalong has previously invested significantly in golf development, notably sponsoring the NGF/Plateau Junior Summer Golf Tournament during his eight-year tenure as Governor, which helped nurture young golfing talents. The summit will feature His Royal Highness Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi as the Royal Father of the event and will attract key stakeholders in the golfing community.

Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, President of the Nigeria Golf Federation, confirmed that preparations for the summit are well underway.
