LASHMA Launches Mobile Clinic in Badagry for Healthcare Access

The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has deployed an EKO Social Health Alliance (EKOSHA) mobile clinic in Erikiti Oglo, Badagry, to improve access to quality healthcare services in underserved communities. This initiative aims to serve areas lacking functional Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) or where facilities are under renovation.
At the commissioning ceremony, LASHMA's Permanent Secretary, Dr Emmanuella Zamba, emphasized the Lagos State Government's commitment, under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to enhance residents' health without financial strain. The mobile clinic will operate every Tuesday from 8 am to 5 pm, offering services such as general medical consultations, treatment of common and chronic illnesses, health education, and routine checks.
Zamba noted that the mobile clinic is a temporary solution until a functional PHC is established. She acknowledged Chief Baale Abila Sedowhe Azonagbo for his support and encouraged community ownership of the program.
Patients needing advanced care will be referred to Ajara PHC or Badagry General Hospital, with transportation costs covered by LASHMA.
