Lawan Donates N50 Million to Windstorm Victims in Yobe

Senator Ahmad Lawan, representing Yobe North, has donated N50 million to assist victims of recent windstorms that affected communities in three Local Government Areas (LGAs): Bade, Nguru, and Karasuwa. In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Lawan expressed his sorrow over the significant destruction caused by the disaster.

The financial aid is allocated as follows: N20 million for Bade LGA, N20 million for Nguru LGA, and N10 million for Karasuwa LGA. The funds are intended to provide immediate relief to those impacted.

Lawan has instructed his team to collaborate with the respective LGAs, traditional institutions, and emergency management committees to ensure the timely distribution of resources to those in need. Additionally, he is working with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Yobe state government to mobilize further relief materials and reconstruction support to enhance his personal contributions.

Lawan reassured the bereaved and displaced individuals of his prayers and ongoing support efforts.
