Lawan Receives RTEAN Award, Dedicates to Yobe North

On Friday, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, President of the 9th Senate and representative of Yobe North Senatorial District, was honored with a Leadership Award of Excellence as the Best Performing Senator by the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Yobe State Chapter. The award ceremony took place in Yobe State, as confirmed by a press statement from his Media Adviser, Ezrel Tabiowo.

Senator Lawan dedicated the award to his constituents, stating it reflects their collective aspirations. He emphasized the importance of road development for commerce and security in Yobe North, noting that the construction and rehabilitation of roads are priorities.

Lawan also mentioned initiatives aimed at economic empowerment, including distributing buses for commuter services. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for significant federal interventions in Yobe State, including the approval of over nine billion Naira for road rehabilitation.

Lawan described RTEAN members as vital to the local economy and expressed that the award would motivate him to further his efforts.
