Uwaleke Appointed to LCCI Economic Statistics Committee

Uch Uwaleke has been appointed as a member of the Economic Statistics Committee of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), with the appointment taking effect in 2026. This decision was approved during a council meeting held on February 4, 2026, following recommendations from the LCCI President, Engr Ley Kupoluyi.

Uwaleke, a renowned financial economist and professor at Nasarawa State University, has previously served as the Commissioner for Finance in Imo State and as the Chief Economist and Director of Research at the Securities and Exchange Commission Nigeria. His extensive experience in capital market studies and economic policy analysis is expected to significantly contribute to the committee's role in advising the council on economic policy, trade, and investment matters.

Uwaleke's appointment is also seen as a recognition of his contributions to economic discourse and capacity building within Nigeria's financial sector. He is a fellow of several prestigious institutions, including the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
