Nigerian House of Reps Order Paper 4 November 2026

The Nigerian House of Representatives had a busy agenda on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, covering bills on healthcare, housing, education, and security pensions. Lawmakers were also set to consider a motion on oversight of federal MSME support programmes and to revisit a sickle cell disease bill that did not receive presidential assent in the previous Assembly. These items touch directly on the welfare of millions of Nigerians.

On 4 November 2026, the Nigerian House of Representatives scheduled business across several areas that affect everyday Nigerians.

On bills, a Federal Medical Centre bill for Iyamho, Edo State was listed for its third and final reading before possible passage. At second reading, lawmakers were to debate a bill to regulate rent payments and ban compulsory multi-year rent demands in the FCT, a bill to strengthen emergency medical treatment rules in hospitals, a bill to establish a Federal University of Technology in Odukpani, Cross River State, a bill to set up a Federal College of Forestry in Marte, Borno State, and a bill to reform pension administration at the State Security Service.

On committee reports, the Committee on Infectious Diseases and the Committee on Health Institutions brought reports on bills to establish a public health institute in Zaria, a nursing college in Abia State, a medical centre in Bende, Abia State, and reforms to university teaching hospital boards.

On motions, the House planned to commit the Sickle Cell Disease Bill, which lapsed without presidential assent in the previous Assembly, to a Committee of the Whole. A separate motion sought oversight of federal government spending on MSME support programmes from 2023 to date.
