Libya Deports 80 Nigerians to Curb Illegal Migration

Libya has deported 80 Nigerian migrants as part of ongoing efforts to address irregular migration and overcrowding in detention facilities. The deportations were carried out following judicial directives issued by Libyan authorities.

The Nigerian Consulate in Tripoli, in coordination with the Migrant Rescue Watch Organization, facilitated the repatriation of the migrants via Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli. This deportation is part of Libya's renewed crackdown on irregular migration, aiming to reduce overcrowding and improve human rights conditions in detention centers.
