Lions Clubs Enhance Gwarimpa General Hospital's Hygiene

The Wuse Abuja Lions Club, in collaboration with Abuja Achievers and Gwarimpa Abuja Lions Clubs, donated cleaning materials to Gwarimpa General Hospital in Abuja. The donation included mops, hypo disinfectants, wipers, toilet papers, and other cleaning items, presented during an environmental sanitation exercise.

This initiative is part of the clubs' efforts to enhance environmental sanitation and healthcare facilities. Victor Simeon, president of Wuse Abuja Lions Club, stated that the initiative aims to support the hospital in maintaining a clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

He emphasized Lions Clubs International's commitment to humanitarian service, mentioning past interventions like feeding the hungry and conducting cataract operations. Juliet Apkasubi, president of Gwarimpa Abuja Lions Club, described the exercise as fulfilling their humanitarian responsibility, while Uwakolam Godwin Chukwudi, president of Achievers Abuja Lions Club, highlighted the importance of environmental hygiene in healthcare facilities.

The clubs plan to extend similar support to other hospitals and communities.
