Ikoyi Lions Club Enhances Sanitation at Lagos School

On September 23, 2026, the Lions International Lagos, Ikoyi Club, District 404-A3 Nigeria, inaugurated 11 renovated toilet facilities at Tinubu Methodist Primary School located on Bank Anthony Street, Lagos Island. The ceremony featured Elder Johnson Efunkomaya, represented by Vice District Governor Oladele Lamidi, who emphasized the importance of a decent learning environment for pupils.

Lamidi praised the Ikoyi Lions Club for their contribution and urged proper maintenance of the facilities. Oladumoye Tomi, a representative from the Lagos Island Local Government Council, expressed gratitude for the initiative, highlighting the necessity of accessible sanitation for children.

Project coordinator Mrs Pat Jinadu explained that the toilets were rebuilt from scratch due to their previous disrepair, funded through donations from friends and family. The event included performances by pupils in appreciation, with dignitaries like Mrs Moji Sofowore and Bola Abioye underscoring the project's significance for children's health and future.
