Lithuania Forms New Cabinet After Coalition Reshuffle

Lithuania has announced a new cabinet after a coalition reshuffle, with President Gitana Nausėda approving the lineup. The new government is headed by Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, who confirmed his position in parliament last week.

The cabinet retains several ministers from the previous administration, including Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys. The reshuffle occurred after the resignation of Inga Ruginienė's government last month, following the end of the alliance with the Nemuno Ausra Party.

The formation of the new government required compliance with Lithuanian law and parliamentary procedures. The new administration's priorities include ensuring political stability, enhancing national security, and implementing economic and social reforms.

The government is expected to receive final approval for its program from parliament soon.
