Chisco's Anyiagbu Donates Buses to Lagos Correctional Centre

On 16 September 2026, Chief Chidi Anyiagbu, Chairman of Chisco Transport Company, donated two luxury buses to the Lagos Correctional Centre to facilitate the transportation of inmates to and from courts. This initiative aims to enhance the speedy dispensation of justice, as Anyiagbu noted that inadequate vehicles were hampering the administration of justice.

The donation was made during a presentation ceremony at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre, coinciding with Anyiagbu's 70th birthday. He expressed his desire to support the correctional service and called on other Nigerians and corporate organizations to assist in bridging logistical gaps within the justice system.

Raph Onazi, the Assistant Controller-General of Corrections in charge of Zone A, praised Anyiagbu for the gesture, assuring that the buses would be effectively utilized. DCC Ogueri, the Deputy Controller of Corrections at Ikoyi, also expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of ensuring inmates are transported to court as required.
