Sudan Village Hit by Deadly Landslide - Appeal for International Aid

A devastating landslide hit a village in Sudan's Tarasin, Jebel Marra range, controlled by the Sudan Liberation Movement faction. The disaster, triggered by heavy rain, resulted in the flattening of the village, with only one survivor reported.

The faction leader, Abdulwahid, appealed for international aid to recover the bodies buried in the debris. The region has been inaccessible due to ongoing conflicts, hindering relief efforts.

The disaster adds to Sudan's challenges amid internal strife and limited humanitarian access, especially during the rainy season.
