Mabel Oboh Denies Endorsement of Rotimi Amaechi

Mabel Oboh, a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), condemned what she termed unprofessional media reporting that has caused confusion regarding political endorsements in the South-South region. During a recent zonal leadership meeting hosted by elder statesman John Odigi Oyegun, Oboh dismissed reports suggesting that South-South leaders had endorsed former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

She emphasized that while Amaechi had expressed presidential intentions, no formal endorsement was made during the meeting. Oboh highlighted the necessity of adhering to due process and proper consultation within the party, asserting that any endorsement must follow constitutional protocols.

She criticized the media for spreading unverifiable claims, warning that such inaccuracies could undermine trust in democratic institutions. Oboh reaffirmed the unity and commitment of South-South leadership to strengthen party structures and maintain discipline, stating that no endorsement had taken place and that the region remains cohesive and orderly.
