Madagascar Raises 15-Day Tourist e-Visa Fee to €30

Madagascar has announced an increase in the fee for its 15-day tourist e-Visa to €30, effective February 16, 2026. This adjustment, published on the country's official e-visa portal, represents a threefold rise in the fee for short-stay e-visa applications.

The increase is part of Madagascar's broader strategy to recover its tourism sector, which has been impacted by the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The country has long offered visa-on-arrival options and online applications through its official visa portal.

While the fee for the 15-day e-Visa has changed, the fees for visa-on-arrival and embassy/consulate visas remain unchanged. Madagascar, located off the southeast coast of Africa, is renowned for its unique biodiversity and landscapes.

Official data indicates a rise in international arrivals in 2025, driven by demand for nature-based and cultural travel experiences, despite the increased e-Visa costs.
