Makinde Approves Buses for Shooting Stars' Continental Campaign

Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde has approved the immediate release of two buses, a 32-seater and an 18-seater, to Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan. This decision aims to strengthen the club's operations and support its participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The approval comes after Shooting Stars' impressive victory over Tunisian side CS Sfaxien in the first leg of their preliminary round tie at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta. The state government emphasized that this gesture reflects Governor Makinde's commitment to supporting the club, which is making its first appearance in a continental competition in 27 years.

The provision of the buses is expected to enhance the club's logistical capacity as they continue their campaign. Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, assured fans of ongoing government support and urged the team to remain focused and disciplined in their quest for continental success.
