Manchester City's CEO Vows to Fight Premier League Charges

Ferran Soriano, the Chief Executive of Manchester City, addressed executives at a board meeting of the European Football Clubs in Copenhagen, where he conveyed a resolute stance regarding the Premier League charges against the club. Soriano reiterated the club's commitment to contest the charges, echoing sentiments previously expressed by Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak in a letter to fans.

He noted that the investigation, which commenced in 2018, has taken eight years to reach this point and indicated that the process would require significantly more time. Soriano's comments came after reports indicated that Manchester City had been found guilty of the majority of the 115 charges brought against them, which include allegations of inflating sponsorship revenue and making undisclosed payments to bypass financial regulations.

He left the meeting without addressing any media inquiries. Notable attendees included Manchester United’s Chief of International Football Relations, Jean-Claude Blanc, and Everton owner Dan Friedkin.
