Man Collapses and Dies While Jogging in Rivers State

On Tuesday morning, a man, whose identity has not been disclosed, collapsed and died while jogging along a major road in the Agbonchia community of Elem in Rivers State. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of the day, was captured on video by a passerby who reported that the man was found lifeless and motionless on the ground.

Residents raised the alarm shortly after the collapse, and within five minutes, bystanders began to gather at the scene. The video footage showed the man with blood on his face, lying motionless on the road.

The exact cause of death has not been established, and attempts to contact Grace Iring Koko, a spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, for comments were unsuccessful. This incident echoes a similar report from 2019, where an unidentified man collapsed while jogging along Wemco Road in the Ogba area of Lagos State, suspected to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
