Man Dies After Alleged Torture by So-Safe Officers

A man identified as Success reportedly died after being tortured by officers of the So-Safe Corp in Ogun State. The incident occurred following a misunderstanding involving Success and his younger brother, which led to physical altercations.

His mother disclosed that the So-Safe officers took custody of her son, but instead of being taken to a secure location, he was allegedly abandoned at an incomplete building where he was physically assaulted. Eyewitness accounts and a video circulating online suggest that the officers beat Success to death.

Temitop Adeniyi, a Facebook user, confirmed the incident, stating that the officers acted outside their standard operational procedures. Adegunwa Adegbuyi, a spokesperson for So-Safe Corp, condemned the actions of the officers and emphasized that the Nigerian Police Force does not condone human rights abuses.

He stated that the first and second culprits would be prosecuted to ensure justice. The Ogun State Police Command has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the incident.
