Potoki Paul, an Abuja-based Nigerian content creator, posted a TikTok video on 31 July detailing his experience installing a solar-powered backup system for his home, costing a total of ₦609,000. The video provides a transparent breakdown of expenses, including ₦307,000 for the iTel power tank from CD Care, ₦30,000 for electrical materials, and ₦12,000 for electrician services.

Paul purchased a 625-watt Jinko bifacial panel from Forney for ₦152,300, with an additional ₦15,000 delivery fee. He managed to save on wiring costs by sourcing 6mm DC cable from Alaba International Market for ₦31,200 instead of local suppliers' quotes.

Additional costs included an aluminium rack for ₦5,500 and installation services for ₦40,000. Paul expressed satisfaction with the setup, stating it has significantly improved his ability to manage household appliances without worrying about power outages.
