Man Arrested for Killing Okada Rider in Edo State

A suspect was arrested in Edo State for the murder of an Okada rider in the South Ibi Community of Etsako West Local Government Area. The incident reportedly occurred when the suspect attempted to steal the deceased's motorcycle.

During the struggle, the suspect stabbed the rider. Residents observed the altercation and raised an alarm, which attracted the attention of the Edo State Security Corps, who promptly apprehended the suspect as he attempted to escape with the motorcycle.

Upon being interviewed by journalists, the suspect confessed to killing the rider to facilitate the theft, stating he needed money to feed his family. Richard Balogun, the Deputy Command of the Edo State Security Corps, confirmed the suspect's arrest at the scene and the recovery of the knife used in the crime.

The suspect is now in police custody for further investigation and prosecution.
