Mancini Rejects Double Contract Claims Amid City Charges

Roberto Mancini, the current Italy manager, has dismissed allegations regarding a purported "double contract" during his time as Manchester City manager. He stated that the matter does not concern him, especially following the Premier League's findings of guilt over financial breaches.

The Premier League brought 115 charges against Manchester City, including 14 allegations related to inaccurate details about player and manager payments from the 2009-2010 to 2017-2018 seasons, which coincided with Mancini's tenure. Mancini led City to an FA Cup victory in 2011 and their first top-flight title in 44 years in 2012.

He was questioned about the allegations during a news conference ahead of a Nations League match against Turkey, asserting that the alleged double contract is not his issue. An independent commission found City guilty of all but one charge, but no sanctions have been announced yet.

The club stated that the process remains ongoing and subject to confidentiality.
