Mutfwang Condemns Mangu Killings, Promises Security Measures

Governor Mutfwang, during a condolence visit to Mangu following a brutal attack that left 25 people dead and several injured, described the incident as barbaric, senseless, and unacceptable. He stated that the loss of innocent lives would not deter the government's commitment to protecting citizens and their property.

Mutfwang assured the community that his administration would implement additional strategies and enhance existing security measures to prevent future attacks. He noted that the attack occurred despite a recent review of the security architecture in collaboration with security agencies, including the new General Officer Commanding 3 Division of the Nigerian Army.

Mutfwang expressed that the attack was not just on the community but on him personally, and he pledged to ensure that the people remain on their land. He commended the resilience of Plateau youths and called for unity among communities, traditional institutions, government, and security agencies to combat insecurity effectively.
