Pyne Awards Africa Set for September 2026 in Maputo

The Pyne Awards Africa is set to occur in Maputo, Mozambique, from September 24-26, 2026. Amaka Amatokwu Ndekwu, founder of Pyne Hospitality Company, announced that the event will be held in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Mozambique.

The awards will highlight Africa's leading tourism and hospitality pioneers, honoring individuals, brands, and institutions that have made significant impacts across the continent. The theme for the 2026 edition is "True Excellence," and the event will coincide with the "Love Maputo" tourism campaign, which aims to showcase the city's beauty and cultural richness.

H.E. Fredson Bacar, Secretary of State for Tourism and Minister of Economy of Mozambique, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership for hosting the awards, which will include high-level gala dinners and discussions aimed at driving sustainable tourism growth in the region.

The event will welcome hospitality leaders, tourism boards, hotel brands, airlines, and creative media from across Africa and the global tourism ecosystem.
