Kaduna State to Support Family of Murdered Teacher

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State announced that the state government will support the family of Ummulkhairi Usman Aliyu, who was brutally murdered by a mob in Maraban Jos on a Saturday. The governor made this pledge during a condolence visit to the deceased's family, stating that the government would cater to the upkeep of her husband and four children, including sponsoring their education.

The incident occurred when Ummulkhairi, an Islamic teacher, was accused of attempting to kidnap children, leading to her being killed and her body set ablaze. Following the incident, 41 individuals have been charged with culpable homicide, while an additional 82 suspects face charges of unlawful assembly.

Governor Sani condemned the mob action and assured that those involved in the murder would face the full wrath of the law. He emphasized the need for thorough investigations by security agencies, particularly the police, to prevent such occurrences in the future.
