Diri Urges Muslims to Reflect on Prophet Muhammad's Teachings

Senator Douye Diri, the Governor of Bayelsa State, issued Eid-el-Maulud greetings to Muslims in the state and across Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of reflecting on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad. In a statement released by his chief press secretary, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, Diri highlighted that the celebration marks a time for Muslims to practice ideals of love, unity, compassion, and peace.

He encouraged adherents to demonstrate practical love and patriotism, urging them to be their brother’s keeper and to ensure peaceful coexistence with others. Diri expressed his hope that the celebration would bring greater prosperity and joy to the Muslim community and the state.

He stated, “As Muslims across the world mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, it is a time to reflect on his ideals and teachings on love, unity, compassion and peace.”.
