Enugu Governor Mbah Approves Scholarships for 760 Students

Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah has approved scholarships for 760 beneficiaries under the 2025/2026 local scholarship scheme, which is part of efforts to expand access to education and strengthen human capital development. Chukwuemeka Mbah, the Executive Secretary of the Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loan Board, disclosed this information in a statement on Tuesday.

The beneficiaries include 500 undergraduate students, 100 postgraduate students, and 160 public sector teachers, all selected based on successful applications that passed a computer-based test. Notifications for verification documents have been sent via text messages and emails to the beneficiaries, who are drawn from 17 local government areas across various fields of study.

Governor Mbah's scholarship scheme reflects his commitment to investing in education and empowering young people to equip the state's workforce with the necessary knowledge and skills to drive development. The next phase of the scholarship program will be open for applications from residents of Enugu State.
