Middle Belt Forum Urges Immediate Action Over Abduction of Christian Women in Borno and Kaduna

The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has raised alarm over the abduction of 15 Christian Marghi ethnic group women in Kilakasa village, Borno State, by Boko Haram terrorists. Dr.

Pogu Bitrus, the President of MBF, expressed concern over the lack of rescue operations and media coverage for the abducted women and 166 worshippers in Kajuru, Kaduna State. The forum condemned the recent coordinated attacks in Agwara town, Niger State, by armed bandits, emphasizing the deep insecurity in the Middle Belt region.

They criticized the Kaduna State government for its response to the abductions and called for immediate transparency and coordinated rescue efforts to protect citizens' rights and uphold security. The MBF highlighted the vulnerability of communities in Southern Kaduna and urged swift action to address the escalating security challenges in the region.
