Media Practitioners Urged to Uphold Truth in Cross River

On Tuesday, media practitioners in Cross River State were charged to uphold truth, accuracy, and professionalism at the conclusion of a Five-Day Information and Media Convergence organized by the Forum of Directors of Information. The event gathered students, media practitioners, and communication leaders, with some participants joining virtually.

The Convener, Cynthia Maduekwe, praised all partners, speakers, and participants, describing the initiative as insightful, engaging, and impactful. She stated that the platform was designed to mold participants as watchdogs of society and to expose them to journalistic ethical requirements.

The event aimed to bridge the information and skills gap among young journalists and public relations students, preparing them for opportunities in the modern economy. Maduekwe encouraged participants to reflect on their learnings within their communities.
