ZenithCare's Dr. Ogunlowo Calls for Government Aid for Patients

Dr. Lekan Ogunlowo, the Chief Executive Officer of ZenithCare Hospital, called for stronger government support for indigent patients during a free medical and surgical outreach in Ibadan, Oyo State, organized by the Pistis Foundation in collaboration with ZenithCare Hospital. He highlighted that many illnesses require treatments that are financially unattainable for numerous Nigerians, leaving indigent patients unable to pay their medical bills.

Ogunlowo suggested that government intervention could complement the efforts of foundations and hospitals providing free healthcare services. He mentioned that ZenithCare Hospital provided its facility and medical personnel for the outreach, which aimed to assist approximately 100 beneficiaries, with 20 patients already treated.

Procedures included lipoma removal, laparotomy, appendectomy, aneurysm-related procedures, and myomectomy. The outreach also offered eye care and other medical services, with beneficiaries undergoing necessary laboratory investigations to determine their treatment needs.

Ogunlowo reaffirmed ZenithCare's commitment to providing compassionate healthcare to those in need.
