US Doctor Seeks Osun Government Support for Clinic

Teju Ogunrinde, a United States-based medical doctor, has called on the Osun State government for support to reopen her healthcare facility, the Omoyiola Free Medical Centre, located in Ileogbo, Ayedire local government area. The decision to reopen follows the resolution of a local dispute facilitated by Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland, during a joint birthday celebration for Professor Pade Aderibigbe and his wife, Titilayo.

The clinic had been closed due to disagreements between Dr. Ogunrinde and Oba Habeeb Adetoyese, the Olu of Ileogbo. Oba Akanbi urged Dr. Ogunrinde to reopen the clinic, emphasizing the community's need for healthcare services.

After the event, Dr. Ogunrinde expressed her respect for Oba Akanbi and confirmed her intention to resume healthcare services, while also highlighting the necessity for collaboration with the Osun State government to ensure sustainable healthcare delivery. She remarked on the importance of political leaders supporting community development initiatives.
