MFM, Customs Set for Zenith Bank/NBBF Final 8 Showdown

The 2026 Zenith Bank/Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Women’s Premier League Final 8 is scheduled to take place at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, in the last week of September. MFM Women Basketball Club and Nigeria Customs emerged as the top teams in their respective Atlantic and Savannah conferences, completing their phases unbeaten.

MFM won all 14 matches in the Atlantic Conference, while Nigeria Customs secured victory in all 10 matches in the Savannah Conference. Other teams joining MFM from the Atlantic Conference include First Bank, Victoria Queens, and Bayelsa Blue Whales, while AS Sky Queens, Titans, and Air Warriors will represent the Savannah Conference alongside Customs.

The NBBF expressed gratitude to Zenith Bank for their support of women's basketball in Nigeria. MFM aims to reclaim the title after losing to Dolphins last year, while Customs seeks their second league title.

Defending champions Dolphins did not qualify for the Final 8 after a disappointing season.
